Bistro 555 Hours: Tuesday–Friday, 11:10 AM - 12:20 PM
This week marked the official reopening of TST’s Bistro 555, which began serving up fresh lunches on Tuesday. Now in its fifth year, Bistro 555 is inviting the public to experience the flavors crafted by TST BOCES’ Culinary Arts seniors. Located on the TST BOCES campus, the Bistro has been a favorite dining spot for TST employees and students for years. Now, the Class of 2024 is eager to welcome new faces from the community to join them for lunch.
Weekly Menus and Flexible Dining Options
Each week, students design a new menu featuring entrees, sides, soups, salads, and desserts, all posted on Instagram (@tst_bistro555) for guests to review ahead of time. Meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but patrons can reserve their food by calling (607) 257-1555 ext. 2011 to place an order. Both dine-in and takeout options are available, and new visitors can find a TST Campus map to locate the Bistro on the TST campus, located at 555 Warren Road, Ithaca, NY 14580.
A Sustainable Focus and Delicious Variety
With sustainability in mind, Bistro 555 is expanding eco-friendly practices with new to-go containers and plans to introduce reusable bags for patrons. The Bistro’s offerings are diverse, with dishes suitable for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets. Daily homemade soups and freshly baked bread are also available at budget-friendly prices, while each week brings new salad and dessert options at $1.50 each.
Culinary Learning in Action
As part of TST BOCES’ hands-on learning approach, Bistro 555 serves as a classroom where Culinary Arts students develop skills through real-world experience. Occasional closures may occur to prioritize educational needs, but the Bistro strives to remain open consistently during hours.
